Eventful and unevenful

Last night, my night was uneventful. However, Robert had a very eventful evening. To make a long story short, he wound up breaking up a fight that appears to have started because of road rage. I'm sure as I talk to each of you, I will fill you in on the details.

Tonight, we're renting some movies tonight and barbecuing again. While there won't be any 97 cent skewers of shrimp, I am definitely doing up some shrimp to go with our steaks.

On a lighter note, for those who have not seen Robert (and for those who have:

Aren't we just sooo classy?

And another one!

A much nicer picture!

Shrimp is no longer 60% off!!

Not too much to report today. Last night was pretty low key. It is 'that' time of the month, so I spent a good chunk of the night on the couch with a hot pack. Robert and I just stayed in and watched the first half of the Amazing Race and Supernatural.

No big plans for tonight, but we're having a barbecue tomorrow!!! I checked at Save On the other day and previously frozen shrimp skewers were no longer 97 cents, so I will likely buy them for our dinner tomorrow.

Given how unsexy, and unstripper-like I feel, here's a little something for you to laugh at.

Shoot me now!

Another day of working pretty much all alone. and so far no freaky people...yet. My dear friend Carrie suggested I install a trap door (a la Mr. Burns from the Simpsons) so that should any other wierdos come in, I can do away with them at the push of a button.

I think I have fully recovered from the lack of sleep this weekend. I crashed pretty hard last night and slept until 7:30 this morning. No big plans tonight.

Wow this is a boring post!

Interesting things happen when you're alone!

I mean when you are alone at work.

I'm still recovering from the hangover caused by lack of sleep and alcohol/food consumption this past weekend. This afternoon, I was on my own for a couple of hours and some of the most bizaar things were happening. Firstly, a vendor we deal with was bringing in some documents for signing. When he asked me whether there would be a fall session, I began to tell him that there likely would be because the PCs want to put through regulations regarding JPs and same sex marriage. Well, the vendor got on this vent about how he is Christian and he doesn't believe in same sex marriage. He went on to say how God didn't intend for women to share a bed and have sexual relations, and the same goes for men. He was utterly disgusted that homosexual couples were permitted to have and/or adopt children. While I respect his beliefs, I had to wonder how the issue of same-sex marriage really affected him...unless of course a man crawled into his bed.

Anyway, shortly after that, a constituent of ours came into the office. We're not really sure what he wants. He is talking about how this government is covering up known peodiphiles and is actually making money. He refers to James Rozko, Carla Homolka and Nick Lysyck (BMO scandal). And then he starts talking about his post doctoral thesis from 1973 about this. He also goes on to say that his reputation is being assasinated etc etc. A strange day I must say!

With that theme in mind....

You Are 50% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!

Wedding weekend - finally over!

So I missed one day of posting. I have an excuse...I was in the wedding party for my friend Angela!!

Our hair and makeup appointments were at 8 am yesterday! Yikes! I had set my alarm for 6:30 am, however I woke up at 5:30! I wound up at the hair salon by 7:45 am, where I informed my hairdresser Alex that the only places open at 7:30 am on Whyte Avenue were Tim Horton's and his salon! Thankfully he had muffins and bagels on hand. He also made some mean lattes for us girls. Afterwards, we headed to Angela's parents' place (thanks Virginia and Robert!) to have some lunch and mimosas while we got ready. Here are some pictures of the wedding party. I know, I know - my eyes are closed in one of the pictures. I think my eyes are open in the other 80 thousand pictures that were taken!

The ceremony was beautiful. I was so nervous walking down the aisle. We were told, "If you think you are walking slow - walk slower!" Most of us girls had to take the lead on that one as the groomsmen walked us down the aisle. We all teared up when Angela walked down the aisle. She looked so pretty! Here's a piture from after the ceremony. Angela and Steve wanted to keep the reception line short, so they didn't include the wedding party.

The worst part was by far, having our photos taken at the Legislature. Getting there was fun. We went in a limo that barely fit the wedding party. But once we got there, it was so cold...but we tried to have fun. We even posed for pictures with some Ferarris and we nabbed some actors that were doing a time period play or something.

The reception was really nice. The head table was served their dinner, dessert and even drinks. We were all glad that it was finally over. The consesus at the gift opening today was that we all crashed within seconds of hitting the pillow last night.

Anyway, as I get more pictures, I will share with those who are interested. I hope everyone had a great weekend!
